Alexis Khemili
About
During law school, Alexis developed a strong foundation in litigation, appellate advocacy, and client representation. She served as a team member on the Moot Court Competition Team and was President of the Cannabis and Psychedelic Law Student Society, reflecting both her leadership and interest in emerging areas of law.
Alexis gained hands-on experience through externships with the Law Offices of Michael E. Cindrich, the San Diego County Public Defender’s Office in the Writs and Appeals Unit, and Legal Aid Society of San Diego. Her work included drafting motions in civil and criminal matters, researching complex legal issues such as the California Racial Justice Act, interviewing clients in court and custodial settings, and speaking on the record at felony arraignments in San Diego Superior Court.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from Nazareth College of Rochester, where she also minored in Peace and Justice Studies and French, graduating on the Dean’s List. Alexis studied abroad at La Sorbonne in Paris and is fluent in French at an intermediate to advanced level.
